ALEMCO is seeking a Technical Manager – MEP to lead engineering delivery across all project phases in Abu Dhabi. You will supervise multidisciplinary teams, drive BIM-enabled design coordination, and ensure safety, quality, and cost-efficiency while maintaining rigorous governance.

The role requires 12+ years in MEP within contracting, a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, and proficiency with Revit and BIM workflows.

ALEMCO is looking for a Technical Manager who can provide technical leadership across assigned projects and operational areas, establish effective governance, resolve complex technical risks, and drive consistent, high-quality engineering outcomes.

About Your Team

This role reports to the Head of Engineering and works cross-functionally with Planning, Commercial, Construction, and Digital Engineering teams. You’ll also interface with consultants, clients, authorities, and vendors to drive design excellence and delivery performance.

Your Role

Manage all MEP engineering deliverables for the project scope – ensuring timely, specification-compliant outputs, strict cost/resource control, and seamless coordination between design, procurement, and construction teams. Embed BIM and modular best practices to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical delivery from design verification through shop drawings, procurement support, installation, testing & commissioning.
• Translate consultant L3 designs into coordinated L4/L5 contractor deliverables, ensuring BIM workflows, clash resolution, and DfMA integration.
• Oversee technical governance across material submittals, equipment selection, controls, QA/QC, and change control.
• Support site teams throughout installation readiness, FATs/SATs, energisation, and commissioning milestones.

Requirements:

• Strong technical leadership across MEP disciplines
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit and MS Office
• Skilled in BIM workflows, QA/QC, and cost/resource control
• Effective communicator with cross-functional teams

• 12+ years of MEP experience with recent exposure to hyperscale data centres within a contracting environment.
• Strong technical grounding in power distribution, cooling systems, redundancy architecture, and critical infrastructure standards (Uptime, NFPA, ASHRAE, IEC).
• Demonstrated leadership of multi-discipline engineering teams and specialist vendors.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, milestone-driven environments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
• 10+ years of experience in MEP engineering, including technical leadership roles
