Job summary

AQC FITOUT LLC is seeking a proactive Technical Engineer for its Dubai team. You will manage the technical coordination and execution of interior fit-out and joinery projects, ensuring drawings, documentation, and site activities are accurate and timely.

The role requires 3–4 years of UAE fit-out experience, strong AutoCAD skills, and coordination across architectural, interior, and MEP disciplines to support project delivery from drawing to handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Architectural/Interior discipline required.
• 3–4 years UAE interior fit-out experience mandatory.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and coordinate shop drawings and joinery details.
• Review drawings, BOQs and specs to identify discrepancies.
• Coordinate architectural, interior, MEP, and joinery drawings to resolve clashes.
• Prepare technical submittals, material submissions, and RFIs with approvals.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Verify site measurements and existing conditions before final drawings for production.
• Support quantity take-offs and provide technical clarification to procurement/estimation.
• Issue approved drawings and instructions to site and factory teams.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure installations meet specs.
• Identify issues and propose practical solutions with Project Manager.

Role Overview

AQC FITOUT LLC is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Engineer to join its team in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the technical coordination and execution of interior fit-out and joinery projects, ensuring drawings, documentation, and site activities are completed accurately and efficiently.

This position is ideal for professionals with solid UAE fit-out experience who possess strong technical knowledge, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and coordinate shop drawings, joinery details, and as-built drawings.
• Review design drawings, specifications, and BOQs to identify discrepancies and missing information.
• Coordinate architectural, interior, MEP, and joinery drawings to resolve clashes before execution.
• Prepare technical submittals, material submissions, and RFIs while tracking approvals and resolving outstanding comments.
• Coordinate technical requirements with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Verify site measurements and existing conditions before finalizing drawings for production.
• Support material quantity take-offs and provide technical clarification to Procurement and Estimation teams.
• Issue approved drawings and technical instructions to site and factory teams.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure installations comply with approved drawings and project specifications.
• Identify technical issues and recommend practical solutions in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision records, approval logs, and technical documentation.
• Prepare as-built drawings and assist with project handover documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Interior Design, or a related discipline; minimum 3–4 years of relevant interior fit-out experience with mandatory UAE experience.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications (Revit knowledge an added advantage); strong understanding of fit‑out materials, finishes, joinery detailing, and installation methods; working knowledge of MEP coordination and UAE authority/building management requirements.
• Core Competencies: Ability to accurately interpret drawings, specifications, and BOQs; experience preparing shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and consultant approvals; excellent communication, organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
