Job summary

Ayat Group is seeking a QA/QC professional in Dubai to develop and maintain quality procedures for fit-out projects. You will review specifications, drawings, and method statements, inspect materials, and ensure conformance across interior finishes and MEP works.

The role requires 5+ years of UAE fit-out QA/QC experience, strong coordination with consultants and contractors, and proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office. This position is based on site with project handover responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil/Construction Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in UAE fit-out projects.
• Proven ability to review drawings, specs, and method statements.
• Experience with ITPs, MIRs, IRs, NCRs and QA/QC documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures and quality plans for fit-out works.
• Review specifications, drawings, BOQs, submittals, and method statements.
• Inspect incoming materials for compliance with submittals and specs.
• Conduct inspections for interior fit-out, finishing, joinery, and MEP works.
• Coordinate with site engineers, PMs, consultants, and subcontractors to meet quality requirements.
• Raise and follow up on IRs/MIRs; prepare NCRs and monitor closure.
• Maintain records of inspections, test results, approvals, and quality reports.
• Ensure proper installation of flooring, ceilings, partitions, paints, joinery, kitchens, sanitary fixtures.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities where applicable.

Job description

• Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures, Quality Plans, ITPs, checklists, and inspection procedures for fit-out works.
• Review project specifications, approved drawings, BOQs, material submittals, and method statements.
• Inspect incoming materials and verify compliance with approved material submittals and project specifications.
• Conduct inspections for civil, architectural, interior, finishing, joinery, and MEP-related fit-out works as applicable.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Raise and follow up on Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and other quality documentation.
• Prepare and issue NCRs when required and monitor their closure.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Review and verify method statements, shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, and technical submissions.
• Ensure proper installation and finishing of materials including flooring, ceilings, partitions, painting, wall finishes, doors, joinery, kitchens, sanitary fixtures, and other interior works.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities where applicable.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, approvals, NCRs, corrective actions, and quality reports.
• Monitor snagging, rectification, and final handover activities.
• Prepare and maintain snag lists, punch lists, and close-out documentation.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, test certificates, and project handover documents.
• Ensure quality requirements are maintained throughout the project from mobilization through completion and handover.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC, preferably within the UAE fit-out .
• Strong experience in interior fit-out and finishing works.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, finishing systems, and installation methods.
• Familiarity with ITPs, Method Statements, MIRs, IRs, NCRs, and QA/QC documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and interior design drawings.
• Knowledge of relevant UAE construction standards, authority requirements, and project specifications.
• Good understanding of quality inspection procedures and construction best practices.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of document-control systems is an advantage.
