Job summary

China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC ME) is recruiting a Technical Engineer to join our technical team for a large skyscraper project in Dubai.

The incumbent will review designs, drawings and specifications, coordinate with subcontractors and ensure alignment with MEP requirements and project timelines. A strong background in high-rise towers and leadership of drafting teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture required.
• 5+ years of experience in high-rise towers or large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Review designs, drawings, specifications, and modifications to fit site conditions.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for queries and resolve discrepancies pre/post tendering.
• Manage a team of structural and architectural draughtsmen for shop drawings.
• Coordinate with MEP requirements and ensure alignment with project needs.
• Evaluate construction delivery systems and cost‑effective plans for project completion.
• Oversee contractor and consultant selection to deliver project components.
• Prepare Method of Statements and submit to consultants.
• Attend weekly progress meetings with client and consultant to resolve critical issues.
• Liaise with sub‑contractors, contractors, consultants and suppliers to obtain clearances.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviewing designs, drawings, specifications, BOQ & modifications required to suit to prevailing site conditions .
• Reviewing packages & coordinating with subcontractors for all technical queries & highlighting discrepancies pre & post tendering.
• Managing a team of structural & architectural draughtsman for preparation of shop drawings.
• Coordinating with MEP requirements .
• Receiving of material indents from site, analyzing the requirement & submission for approval.
• Evaluating & determining appropriate construction delivery systems & most cost effective plans for the project completion .
• Overseeing the selection of contractors & consultant to complete specific pieces of the project.
• Reviewing & preparing Method of Statements and submitting to consultant.
• Attending Weekly Progress meeting with the Client and Consultant and resolve critical issues.
• Liaising with Sub Contractor, contractors , consultants & Suppliers and coordinating for all the technical Requirements & obtaining clearances.
