Job summary

China State Construction Middle East CSCEC ME is recruiting a Senior Material Engineer to join our team for a Large Scale High Rise Tower project in Dubai. The role focuses on material approvals, site material control, and QA/QC coordination.

Ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, with strong documentation and coordination skills to support high-rise construction in Dubai.

Qualifications

• Coordinate material testing with consultants and contractors.
• Prepare material submittals and obtain approvals.
• Maintain project material inspections documentation.
• Review subcontractors' material submittals against BOQ and specs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the material submittals and obtain the required approvals according to the applicable standards and project specifications.
• Serve as the focal point for scheduling and control of construction materials at the job site.
• Coordinate work of consultants and contractors for material testing.
• Maintain office files related to project material inspections and write daily diaries.
• Prepare daily reports and other documentation as required by the contract.
• Verify that only approved materials are incorporated in the work.
• Recognize potential conflicts on construction materials and report to QAQC with proposed solutions.
• Collect reviews and files Certificate of Compliance MSDS inspection tags and other relevant information.
• Participate in development of quality control reports and procedures.
• Prepare plan for on-site testing of materials in coordination with QAQC and Construction teams.
• Check delivered materials are as approved and properly stored.
• Prepare and update the project finishing schedule with all material information per approved submittal and related RFI/letter.
• Review subcontractor material submittals as per BOQ and specification.
