Job summary

At Kitchen Park in Dubai is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant to lead global accounting policy development and IFRS guidance. The role focuses on complex financial reporting, cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring compliance across regions.

You will draft memos and policies, advise on IFRS issues, and partner with auditors and senior management to resolve accounting matters, while keeping pace with GCC regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in technical accounting or financial reporting.
• Strong exposure to IFRS standards (IFRS 9, 15, 16, 3, 10).
• Experience drafting technical accounting memos, policies, and position papers.
• Big 4 accounting/advisory background strongly preferred.

• Own the technical accounting agenda, including drafting and maintaining global accounting policies, memos, and guidance notes.
• Provide technical IFRS advice on transactions (M&A, restructurings, new contracts, debt/equity issuances, joint ventures, etc.).
• Partner with auditors, legal, tax, FP&A, and senior leadership to resolve complex accounting matters.
• Lead and manage projects related to new IFRS implementations, system changes, or reporting enhancements.
• Keep business stakeholders informed of emerging accounting standards, local GCC regulations, and industry best practices.
• Represent the company in discussions with external auditors and, where relevant, contribute to comment letters or industry forums.

What you’ll do

What we’re looking for

• 7-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in technical accounting or financial reporting.
• Strong exposure to IFRS standards (IFRS 9, 15, 16, 3, 10).
• Experience drafting technical accounting memos, policies, and position papers.
• A background in Big 4 accounting/advisory (Audit, Accounting Advisory Services, or Transaction Accounting) is strongly preferred.
• A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA (or equivalent).
• Ability to work independently, perform in-depth technical research, and communicate complex issues to non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience managing regional or multi-jurisdictional entities in the GCC is a strong plus
• Demand for online food delivery is growing really fast! In the last 5 years, just in the US, the overall market has expanded 10X from $10B to $100B, and could expand to $500bn- $1T by 2030.
