Job summary

Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC) is seeking an experienced laundry operations associate to manage linen processing, labeling with LMS, and ensuring flight-ready quality standard.

The role involves operating laundry machinery, finishing garments, and performing strict quality checks, while maintaining hygiene and safety in a fast-paced environment. Customer interactions and accurate billing are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year laundry ops experience; aviation/hospitality preferred.
  • Basic English communication and basic PC skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to stand long periods and perform manual labor in warm environments with chemicals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-processing inspection, labeling, and LMS-based labeling for traceability.
  • Operate dry-cleaning and washing machinery with pre/post-spotting.
  • Hand-finish and press non-uniform garments to flight/room readiness.
  • Conduct final quality checks and documentation before dispatch.
  • Maintain hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout operations.
  • Handle counter staff duties including payment processing and client interaction.

Job description

  • Perform pre-processing inspection, accurate recording, and systematic labeling of all incoming linen to ensure 100% material traceability and compliance from arrival.
  • Generate and assign standardized labels using the Laundry Management System (LMS) to ensure the correct cleaning cycle and billing are automatically applied for all items.
  • Perform sorting and segregation of all linen based on care label requirements and soiling levels to guarantee process integrity and prevent damage to high-value goods.
  • Perform operation of dry-cleaning and washing machinery, including necessary pre- and post-spotting, to achieve the specified cleanliness and quality standard for all garments.
  • Perform hand-finishing and specialized pressing/finishing on all non-uniform garments (Executive, Guest, Retail) to ensure linen is flight-ready or room-ready and meets high-presentation standards.
  • Conduct final quality checks, segregation, and documentation for completed laundry to ensure zero non-conformance defects before items are staged for dispatch.
  • Maintain strict adherence to hygiene, safety, and industry regulatory standards throughout all operational steps to ensure a secure working environment and compliance with audit requirements.
  • Perform folding, bagging, and meticulous packaging of cleaned items according to client specifications to ensure accurate inventory and integrity during final delivery logistics.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of cleaning cycles, inspections, and documentation of all damaged/lost items to ensure data reliability for management reporting and loss control analysis.
  • Perform counter staff duties at various laundry outlets, including accurate payment handling and client interaction, to ensure smooth personal laundry service delivery and accurate revenue reconciliation.

Qualifications
Education Qualification:
  • High school or diploma in any relevant field
Work Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in laundry operations/machine operator, preferably within the aviation and hospitality industry.
