Job summary

ADNOC is seeking an experienced Chartering senior professional to lead the commercial team in Abu Dhabi. You will plan, coordinate and steer tender development (Charter In/Out) while aligning with corporate objectives and governance standards.

You will supervise the chartering function, shape short- to long-term business strategies, and participate in client and contractor discussions to secure profitable contract awards. Strong market insight and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial and chartering.
• Experience in Offshore Industry (Offshore/Onshore).
• Regional Experience in GCC (with IOC/NOC/EPC).
• Understanding of market trends.
• Ability to identify issues and areas for improvement.
• Ability to prepare models to assess profitability of opportunities.
• Ability to develop commercial strategies.

• Collaborate with other sections to identify performance improvements and coach teams.

About the Job:

Responsible for providing leadership and direction to Chartering team. Plan coordinates, and participates in the formulation of commercial strategies, considering the consistency of such strategies with the overall organizationu2019s objectives and requirements during all phases of the commercial processes. Provides commercial interpretations, clarifications and definitions to the direct manager. Develops and controls the preparation and analysis of commercial activities as well as recommends appropriate course of actions

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Participates in formulating strategies for tendering (Charter In/Out) to secure award of contracts while ensuring transparency, fairness and best commercial practices.
• Supervise and coordinate commercial team all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
• Participates and develops in the planning of short, medium and long-term Business Strategies and Assist in developing the Business unit commercial strategy
• Attend Clientsu2019 and Contractors meetings related to tendering (Charter In/Out) as required
• Support Commercial Manager in the delivery of department objectives and compliance to processes.
• Participates in the evaluation of Monthly Management Reports, prepares summarized reports, comments and recommends appropriate action plans
• Identify, in coordination with other Commercial Sections, areas where performance can be improved, and analyse, strategize, plan and coach them.

• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
• Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.

Budgets

• Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
• Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control

• Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Sectionu2019s / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.

Performance Management

• Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.

Minimum Requirtments:

• Masteru2019s / Bacheloru2019s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
