Job summary

Tanqeeb in Dubai is seeking an experienced Accounting & Tax consultant to help businesses manage financial records, ensure tax compliance, and provide advisory on tax and financial matters.

Responsibilities include bookkeeping, preparing financial statements and tax returns, VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, and liaising with clients. The role requires 3–5 years UAE experience, proficiency in Excel and ERP systems, and the ability to manage multiple clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and/or tax.
• Hands-on experience in bookkeeping, financial closing, and tax compliance (UAE).
• Strong understanding of VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.
• Experience handling accounting and tax matters for multiple clients.
• Experience with Big 4 or accounting service providers preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Good English communication skills with clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain full sets of accounting records and books for assigned clients.
• Record and review accounting transactions, including AP, AR, GL, bank transactions, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.
• Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closing for clients.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare and review tax calculations, tax returns, and supporting documentation for clients.
• Support clients with VAT, Corporate Tax, and other applicable tax compliance requirements.
• Ensure accounting records and tax filings are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
• Review clients' accounting documents and identify missing information, inconsistencies, or potential compliance issues.
• Liaise directly with clients to collect financial information and clarify accounting or tax matters.
• Support external audits, tax audits, and regulatory requirements by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
• Handle multiple client accounts simultaneously while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Keep updated with changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
