Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking an experienced Floral Supervisor to support the Assistant Manager Floral in all floral operations. You will oversee daily floral department activities, ensure quality and cost control, and train team members to maintain high standards in a luxury hotel environment.

The role requires 3 years in a 5-star setting with supervisory experience, fluency in English, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural resort.

Qualifications

• 3 years in a 5-star hotel/resort with 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Commercial Floral experience preferred.
• Experience with large events, weddings and shows.
• Fluent English in communication.
• Familiar with Western, Asian and Middle Eastern flower design.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Presentable and an excellent communicator and supervisor.
• Strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Assistant Manager Floral in all phases of floral activities and alignment with department activities.
• Consult the Assistant Manager Floral for approval of major changes.
• Act on behalf of the Assistant Manager Floral during absence.
• Check daily conditions of flowers in the front area and refresh arrangements as needed.
• Maintain quality and cost control on all flower arrangements.
• Ensure proper storage and stock of fresh flowers and floral accessories.
• Supervise daily operations within the floral department.
• Conduct regular inventory of flowers, vases and accessories.
• Report irregularities in the department.
• Suggest improvements to operations.
• Train and supervise team members to improve standards and teamwork.
• Assist the Assistant Manager with team training per the training plan.
• Ensure grooming of team members meets Wynn Al Marjan Island standards.
• Promote a safe, valued and collaborative work environment.
• Monitor health and safety standards to prevent hazards.
• Participate in recycling programs and promote sustainability.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager.

Responsibilities

Support the Assistant Manager Floral in all phases of floral activities and alignment with all activities of the department

Consult the Assistant Manager - Floral for approval of any major changes

Act on behalf of the Assistant Manager - Floral during his her absence

Check all conditions of all flowers in the front area daily and freshen the flower arrangements when necessary

Maintain good quality and cost control on all flower arrangements

Ensure that all fresh flowers and floral accessories are properly stored in good condition and stocked adequately

Supervise daily operations within the floral department

Conduct regular inventory of flowers vases and accessories items

Report any irregularities found within the department

Make suggestions for improvement of operation

Accept any other duties when assigned by the Assistant Manager

Train and supervise Team Members to create team spirit and improve standards of arranging flower

Assist the Assistant Manager with training to the team members to ensure job skills are constantly improved and developed in accordance with the established training plan

Always check the grooming of all Team Members to ensure they are in compliance with the established Wynn Al Marjan Island standards

Promote a work environment where employees feel valued appreciated involved and safe

Ensure that health and safety standards are closely monitored and constantly improved to avoid any health or injury hazards occurring from malpractices

Proactively participate in the hotel recycling program and promote a strict discipline to reduce re-use and re-cycle wherever possible and appropriate

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Candidate Requirements

• Requires 3 years experience in a 5-star integrated hotel/resort, with 2 years in supervisory role.
• Previous experience in Commercial Floral is preferrable.
• Previous experience in large events, big-scale weddings, and shows is preferred.
• Communication Fluent in English.
• Familiar with Western, Asian, and Middle Eastern flower design.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
