Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Floral Designer to manage all floral arrangements for public areas, events, and banqueting within the hotel.

You will work in the floral workshop, coordinate with the Supervisor, and maintain fresh flowers with regular replacement, while ensuring high standards of presentation and multicultural communication. Flexibility for weekends and public holidays is required, in a dynamic luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Requires 2 years experience in a 5-star integrated hotel/resort.
• Previous experience in Commercial Floral is preferrable.
• Previous experience in large events, big-scale weddings, and shows is preferred.
• Communication Fluent in English.
• Familiar with Western, Asian, and Middle Eastern flower design.
• Good computer knowledge (MS Office and Outlook).
• Presentable and is an excellent communicator and supervising team.
• Good in established leadership skills.
• Proactive, Creative, and Innovative.
• Physically fit.
• Experience in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

Job description

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are

• Consult the Supervisor - Floral for approval of any major changes
• Work in floral workshop
• handling all floral arrangement for public areas
• in house guest amp departmental orders
• Maintain fresh flowers replacing as needed on a maintenance schedule
• add or change water on a regular basis if necessary
• Keep workshop clean and tidy at all times
• Ensure all flowers are properly stored in fridge
• Provide help when required for banqueting work and special function flowers
• Set up and keep track of flower arrangements in all public areas restaurants executive office and any required areas within the hotel on a daily basis
• Assist Supervisor in the preparation of the big scale of flower arrangement
• Accept any other duties when assigned by the Floral Supervisor or Assistant Manager
• Interact with Department and Company Team Members management and contractors professionally and positively
• Encourage good relationships promote team spirit and ensure effective two-way and multicultural communications
• Remain well-mannered and well-groomed as per Department and Company standards at all times
• Follow health and safety standards and strive for constant improvement to avoid health and injury hazards
• Clean and tidy the office and participate in the Company recycling program and follow a strict discipline to reduce re-use and recycle wherever possible
