Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking an Assistant Manager - Floral Operations to lead the Floral team in delivering exceptional designs for the resort and event spaces. The role requires strong leadership, meticulous quality control, and the ability to manage inventory, budgets, and vendor relationships to maintain the resort's high standards.

Ideal candidates bring 5 years in a luxury hotel or resort, 3 years in a leadership role, fluent English, and expertise in large-scale floral design.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience in a 5-star integrated hotel/resort, with 3 years in a leadership role.
• Commercial floral experience preferred.
• Experience in large events, weddings, and shows.
• Fluent in English.
• Familiar with Western, Asian, and Middle Eastern flower design.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Presentable, excellent communicator and mentor.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Proactive, creative and innovative.
• Physically fit for demanding environments.
• Experience in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
• Willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support Floral Director in all phases of floral activities and align department activities.
• Ensure high standards by inspecting front-of-house floral arrangements daily.
• Consult Floral Director for major changes.
• Act on behalf of Floral Director during absence.
• Check flowers daily and refresh arrangements as needed.
• Maintain quality and cost control of arrangements.
• Manage floral inventory and coordinate with Floral Director.
• Ensure proper storage of flowers and accessories.
• Supervise daily floral department operations.
• Conduct regular inventory of flowers, vases and accessories.
• Report irregularities within the department.
• Oversee department administration and manage expenses.
• Suggest improvements for operations.
• Collaborate with Floral Designer to deliver high-quality designs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Train and supervise team members to improve standards.
• Coordinate arrangements for Banquet Event Orders and upcoming events.
• Assist in training to continuously develop job skills.
• Ensure grooming standards for Wynn Al Marjan Island staff.
• Promote a safe, valued and respectful work environment.
• Support recycling programs and sustainability initiatives.
