Job summary

Penspen is seeking a Sr. Construction/Installation Engineer (Subsea Pipelines/Cables) for an offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will lead construction and installation activities, review methods and drawings, and coordinate with Vessel teams and operators.

The role requires extensive offshore experience, including pipeline and cable installations, with strong coordination across multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient execution.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
15+ years of experience, with at least 5+ years in offshore projects.

Responsibilities

Provide construction and installation engineering for subsea pipelines, cables, and flowlines.
Support offshore installation campaigns including lay operations and tie-ins.
Coordinate with subsea engineering, marine ops, vessels, ROV/survey teams, and clients to ensure safe execution.
Lead installation engineering activities for subsea pipeline and cable scopes.
Review installation methods, procedures, and work packs.
Review drawings, installation analyses, route layouts, and specs.
Provide engineering support during offshore campaigns.
Support subsea power, control and communication cable installation.
Coordinate lay operations with installation vessel teams.
