Job summary

A leading construction firm is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to oversee subcontractor accounts, ensure accurate pricing, and assist in project evaluation. The role requires at least 10 years of experience in civil and building construction, with expertise in the contractor side of projects. Overview

Responsibilities

• The Quantity Surveyor inputs and accounts the works performed by Subcontractors in the specific data base, and handles any deviations from budget values.
• Check in detail the accounting submitted by the Subcontractors for "unit prices Subcontracts"; in particular verify quantities (to be calculated in accordance with the drawings issued for construction and in accordance with the Special Preamble to Prices and Methods of Measurement Civil Works defined in the Subcontract).
• Ensure the correct application of unit prices (to be in accordance with the contract price list, and Subcontract requirements) and ensure the accuracy of all calculations (arithmetic).
• Assist the Subcontracts Administration Manager with the evaluation and verification of extra works and obtain the Client’s approval.
• Assist Subcontracts Administration Manager with other Subcontract Administration activities as required.
• Assist Subcontracts Administration Manager with the preparation of backup documents for the Payment Certificates.
• Expedite and ensure timely receipt of accountings and other deliverables from Subcontractors.
• Maintain proper filing of all Subcontracts and accounting documents.

Knowledge & Qualifications

• University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent

Experience

• Similar role covered at least in last three projects of comparable size;
• Proven past experience on Civil and Building construction activities;
• Relevant experience in construction/modernisation of industrial/Refinery sector/EPC projects large plants;
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the specific discipline;
• Experience working on Contractor side.
