Job summary

Egisgroup in Abu Dhabi, UAE, seeks a Structural Site Engineer with 10–15 years of on-site supervision experience to oversee reinforced concrete and steel construction in line with drawings, specs and codes.

You will coordinate with project managers, contractors and design engineers, monitor progress, inspect materials and safety, and maintain daily reports and as-built drawings to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 10–15 years of structural construction and site supervision experience.
• Experience in buildings (Pre-Cast & Cast in Situ) Concrete & Steel Structures.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all structural construction activities on site to ensure execution in line with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, standards and quality requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to verify compliance with design specifications and construction standards.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive site documentation, including daily reports, inspection records, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors and design engineers to address technical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor project schedules and timelines to ensure structural work progresses according to the approved construction schedule.
• Inspect materials, equipment, and structural components upon delivery to verify quality and compliance with project requirements.
• Identify defects, non-conformances, and safety hazards, and recommend remedial measures to ensure structural integrity.
• Oversee safety protocols and ensure all site personnel adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Communicate technical findings and project updates to stakeholders through regular meetings and written reports.
• Maintain accurate records of all structural work, testing results, and certifications for project documentation and compliance purposes.

Education

Experience

• Typically, 10-15years of experience in structural construction and site supervision.
• Experience in buildings (Pre-Cast & Cast in Situ) Concrete & Steel Structure.
• UAE/GCC experience is often preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards (ACI, BS, Eurocodes, ASTM).
• Ability to review structural drawings and calculations.
• Knowledge of construction methodologies and quality procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETABs, SAFE, PCA, PROKON, BIM, Microsoft Office.
