Job summary

Egis is seeking a seasoned Structural Site Engineer to oversee on-site construction activities, ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and codes, and maintain documentation. The role requires hands-on supervision of concrete and steel works, quality audits, and coordination with PMs, contractors, and design engineers to address technical issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Typically 10–15 years of experience in structural construction and site supervision.
• Experience with buildings (Pre-Cast & Cast in Situ) concrete and steel structures.
• UAE/GCC experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all on-site structural construction activities to ensure execution per drawings, specs, codes, and quality requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to verify compliance with design specifications and construction standards.
• Prepare and maintain site documentation including daily reports, inspection records, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and design engineers to address technical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor project schedules and timelines to ensure work progresses according to the construction schedule.
• Inspect materials, equipment, and structural components upon delivery for quality and compliance.
• Identify defects, non-conformances, and safety hazards; recommend remedial measures to ensure structural integrity.
• Oversee safety protocols and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Communicate technical findings and project updates to stakeholders through meetings and written reports.
• Maintain accurate records of all structural work, testing results, and certifications for project documentation and compliance purposes.

Job Description

The Structural Site Engineer is responsible for the following key duties and responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor all structural construction activities on site to ensure execution in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

Experience

• Typically, 10-15years of experience in structural construction and site supervision.
• Experience in buildings (Pre-Cast & Cast in Situ) Concrete & Steel Structure.
• UAE/GCC experience is often preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards (ACI, BS, Eurocodes, ASTM).
• Ability to review structural drawings and calculations.
• Knowledge of construction methodologies and quality procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETABs, SAFE, PCA, PROKON, BIM, Microsoft Office.
