Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with a strong main contractor background to lead and coordinate structural activities from site execution through completion on hotel, residential, and building projects in Abu Dhabi.

You will review drawings, coordinate with site teams and consultants, monitor compliance with drawings and UAE codes, prepare technical reports, and support the Project Manager on all structural matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering required.
• Minimum 8 years of UAE experience with a main contractor/background mandatory.
• Proven experience on hotel, residential apartment, and building construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and design documents.
• Coordinate structural works with site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines.
• Monitor structural construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with consultants and design teams regarding RFIs, technical clarifications, and design changes.
• Identify and resolve structural and technical issues encountered during construction.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure structural works meet required quality standards.
• Monitor progress of structural works and coordinate with the project team to meet project schedules.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building regulations, applicable codes, HSE requirements, and project specifications.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Support the Project Manager and Construction Manager in all structural engineering matters.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Strong knowledge of structural construction methods, drawings, and site execution.
• Good knowledge of UAE construction standards, codes, and authority requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant engineering software.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
