Job summary
Facade Today in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to lead the structural design, analysis, and verification of aluminum façades, curtain walls, glazing, and cladding.
You will review architectural and façade drawings, coordinate with BIM Modelers and engineers, ensure compliance with UAE standards, and support fabrication and site installation. This role requires 5–8 years of relevant experience and proficiency in STAAD.Pro, ETABS, and AutoCAD.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Aluminum, Façade, Curtain Wall or Building Envelope industries.
- Strong experience in structural analysis and design of aluminum and façade systems.
- Proficient with wind loading, deflection criteria, thermal movement, and connection design.
- Experience with aluminum profiles, mullions, transoms, brackets and fixing systems; familiar with STAAD.Pro, SAP2000 or ETABS.
- Knowledge of Eurocode, BS, AAMA, ASTM and UAE standards; UAE/GCC experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for aluminum and façade systems.
- Prepare structural calculations for profiles, mullions, transoms, reinforcements and fixing systems.
- Review architectural, structural and façade drawings and coordinate with BIM Modelers and architects.
- Provide technical support to factory fabrication and site installation teams.
- Ensure designs comply with project specs and UAE/local authority requirements.
