Job summary

Facade Today in Dubai seeks an experienced Structural Engineer to support the structural design, analysis, and engineering of aluminum and façade systems for curtain walls, glazing, cladding, and related components.

You will verify performance to codes, coordinate with design teams, prepare calculations, and oversee factory fabrication and site installation. This role requires strong coordination, analytical skills, and familiarity with UAE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in Aluminum, Façade, Curtain Wall, Glazing, Cladding, or Building Envelope industry.
• Experience in structural analysis and design of aluminum and façade systems.
• Good knowledge of wind loading, deflection criteria, thermal movement, stress analysis, and connection design.
• Experience with aluminum profiles, mullions, transoms, steel reinforcements, brackets, anchors, and fixing systems.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Eurocode, BS, AAMA, ASTM, and applicable project requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical coordination skills.
• Experience in an aluminum fabrication or façade manufacturing environment preferred.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for aluminum and façade systems.
• Prepare structural calculations for aluminum profiles, mullions, transoms, steel reinforcements, brackets, anchors, and fixing systems.
• Assess design loads, wind, dead, live loads, thermal movements, and other project-specific requirements.
• Verify deflection, stress, stability, and overall structural performance per codes and project specs.
• Coordinate with Façade Designers, BIM Modelers, Architects, and other engineering disciplines.
• Provide structural input during design development and shop drawings.
• Ensure designs are practical, safe, and suitable for factory fabrication and site installation.
• Prepare and review structural calculation reports, engineering submissions, and technical documentation.
• Support QA/QC and site inspections as required.
