Job summary

Alliance Recruitment Agency is seeking a Civil/Structural Design Engineer for assignments in the United Arab Emirates. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of design experience and a strong command of design software, materials selection, and detailing.

You will prepare calculations, create connections, verify drawings, and supervise fabrication and site activities to ensure compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of design experience.
• Knowledge of fabrication and erection activities.

• Spreadsheet development and manual calculation validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Study project inputs and identify discrepancies, reporting them to the Lead Engineer with detailed explanations.
• Prepare design calculations according to project specifications, codes, and design guidelines.
• Create connection designs and sketches for given loads.
• Verify engineering drawings to ensure correct interpretation of design details.
• Develop spreadsheets for repetitive calculations and validate them with manual computations.
• Propose alternative, cost-effective technical solutions and recommend suitable construction materials.
• Supervise construction and fabrication activities through random site/yard visits and document observations.

Position Specifications
