Job description

Role Overview

The Strategy & Special Projects Lead is a high-impact role responsible for taking strategically complex, and time-sensitive initiatives from concept through to execution.

Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, the Special Projects Lead will operate across functions, geographies, and business units to solve problems, accelerate priorities, and ensure critical initiatives move from idea to outcome.

This is not a traditional project management role. It requires someone who can move comfortably between strategy and execution, bring structure to ambiguity, challenge assumptions, coordinate senior stakeholders, and personally drive work forward when required. The successful candidate will have exceptional judgment, commercial awareness, analytical ability, and a strong bias toward action.

Responsibilities
  • Own and deliver high-priority strategic initiatives sponsored by the CEO and leadership team.
  • Translate broad strategic objectives into clear workstreams, milestones, owners, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Take responsibility for projects that do not naturally sit within a single department or require coordination across multiple teams.
  • Identify obstacles early, resolve issues quickly, and accelerate decisions when necessary.
  • Maintain momentum from initial concept through implementation and measurable business impact.
  • Work directly with the CEO on selected strategic and operational priorities.
  • Take loosely defined ideas or objectives and turn them into structured, executable plans.
  • Conduct rapid analysis and research to support important decisions.
  • Prepare concise recommendations, business cases, presentations, and decision materials for senior leadership.
  • Act as a trusted execution partner; understanding the intended outcome, filling in the gaps, and driving the work forward without requiring constant direction.
  • Evaluate new products, markets, partnerships, commercial opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop business cases, financial models, market assessments, and implementation plans where required.
  • Support the launch of new initiatives and, where appropriate, operate them during their early stages before transitioning ownership to the relevant business function.
  • Support strategic partnerships, market expansion, major commercial initiatives, and other high-value opportunities.
Experience Required
  • 2–5 years of experience in strategy, consulting, investment banking, private equity, high-growth technology, fintech, corporate development, a Chief of Staff function, or another demanding execution environment.
  • Must have worked as a management consultant in UAE for 1-2 years.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment, with no established playbook.
  • Must have worked on European expansion and ideation.
