Job summary

Halian is seeking a highly experienced Strategic Planning & Execution Consultant to support enterprise-wide strategic initiatives in Abu Dhabi. The role requires translating vision into actionable plans, establishing governance, performance management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful execution.

You will drive cross-functional coordination, develop KPIs/OKRs, and deliver executive-level reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required in a related field and minimum 8+ years in strategic planning, strategy execution, transformation, PMO, or consulting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience developing executive reports, dashboards, and board-level presentations.

Strategic Planning & Execution Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Planning & Execution Consultant to support the development, execution, and monitoring of enterprise-wide strategic initiatives for a leading Abu Dhabi-based organization.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in translating organizational vision and objectives into actionable plans, ensuring effective execution through robust governance, performance management, and stakeholder engagement frameworks. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities, transformation experience, and a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives within complex organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

• Support the development and refinement of corporate and departmental strategies.
• Facilitate strategic planning workshops with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
• Conduct market research, benchmarking, and environmental analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives, programmes, and roadmaps.
• Ensure alignment of strategic plans with organizational priorities and long-term goals.

Strategy Execution & Delivery

• Drive the implementation and execution of strategic initiatives across the organization.
• Monitor progress against strategic objectives and key milestones.
• Identify and address barriers impacting strategy execution.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of strategic priorities.
• Support the prioritization of initiatives and resource allocation decisions.

Performance Management

• Develop and maintain strategic performance management frameworks.
• Define and monitor KPIs, OKRs, and organizational performance metrics.
• Establish executive dashboards and performance reporting mechanisms.
• Analyze performance trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Track benefits realization and strategic outcomes.

Governance & Reporting

• Design and implement strategy governance frameworks.
• Support executive committees and governance forums through reporting and decision support.
• Prepare strategic reports, presentations, and briefing materials for senior leadership.
• Ensure accountability and transparency in strategic execution processes.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage senior executives, business leaders, and key stakeholders across the organization.
• Facilitate alignment between strategic objectives and operational execution.
• Build strong relationships to drive collaboration and execution excellence.
• Support change management and communication activities associated with strategic initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to enhance strategic planning and execution capabilities.
• Introduce best practices in strategy management, performance measurement, and governance.
• Support organizational transformation and maturity improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Economics, Public Policy, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in strategic planning, strategy execution, transformation, PMO, management consulting, or corporate planning.
• Proven experience developing and implementing strategic plans and performance frameworks.
• Strong experience in strategy execution, governance, and performance monitoring.
• Experience developing executive reports, dashboards, and board-level presentations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills with executive-level stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience with Abu Dhabi Government or semi-government entities.
• Experience supporting corporate strategy, organizational transformation, or performance management offices.
• Consulting experience within a leading advisory or professional services environment.
• Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder organizations.
