Job summary

Wood in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Procurement Manager to lead procurement for engineering, construction, and services on large energy projects. You will develop strategies, evaluate bids, manage supplier performance, and maintain an approved vendor base, while ensuring compliance with ADNOC systems and ICV requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• 15+ years experience in oil & gas with at least 5 years in Procurement Management.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC procurement systems (SAP, ARIBA preferred).
• Strong contract negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with ICV compliance requirements.
• Risk assessment and supply chain management.
• Commercial and contractual awareness (FIDIC knowledge preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent technical, team and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement process for engineering, construction, materials, equipment, and services.
• Review project specifications and requisitions to identify procurement requirements.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for timely, cost-effective purchasing.
• Prepare RFQs, RFPs, and tender documents for vendor selection.
• Evaluate bids with project, engineering, and commercial teams.
• Conduct supplier prequalification and performance evaluation.
• Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and contract terms with vendors/subcontractors.
• Monitor procurement budgets and expedite orders to minimize delays.
