Job summary

EDGE, Abu Dhabi-based, seeks a Manager of Material Management to lead procurement operations and material planning, ensuring timely, cost-effective purchases for the group. The role oversees supplier management, inventory control, and cost optimisation in a dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will have 5–7 years in procurement and at least 3 years in leadership, with strong experience in contracts, planning, and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of experience in procurement, material management, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
• At least 3 years of experience leading procurement or material management teams.
• Proven experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, inventory control, and procurement planning.
• Strong knowledge of procurement systems, purchasing methodologies, and cost optimisation practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage procurement and material management activities to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that optimise cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Oversee material planning, inventory control, and demand forecasting to maintain stock levels.
• Manage supplier selection, evaluation, contract negotiations, and performance monitoring.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities to reduce total cost of ownership.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align procurement with production needs.
• Monitor budgets, expenditures, and KPIs to achieve objectives.
• Prepare procurement reports including supplier performance, inventory metrics, and cost savings.
• Lead, coach, and develop procurement teams to improve capability and performance.
• Promote continuous improvement and accountability across functions.
