Job summary

Etihad Engineering in Abu Dhabi seeks a Strategic Material Planner to support the Engineering Supply Chain in achieving top service levels at lowest total cost.

You will monitor inventory, develop dashboards, update forecasts, set reorder points in ERP, and lead cost-saving supply chain projects.

The role requires 5+ years in inventory management, strong Excel/Power BI/SQL/Python skills, and familiarity with aircraft maintenance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical degree.
• Expert in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, SQL, Python & Process Mapping Tools with excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Preference to candidates with aircraft maintenance and/or supply chain inventory management experience.
• Knowledge of technical manuals like MPD, AMM, CMM, IPC and familiar with RSPLs would be an asset.
• Self-motivated, team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

As a Material planner, you would support Engineering Supply Chain department to achieve highest possible service level at lowest total cost. Preventing delays and cancellation by adopting a cost-effective inventory provisioning. Responsible for adequate current asset inventory holding for all customers and to effectively manage spares for optimum utilization and effectively record and reports.

Job Responsibilities:

• 1.Inventory Monitoring: Track inventory levels, analyze stock movements, and monitor stock turn to ensure optimal inventory performance.
• 2.Data Analysis and Reporting: Develop dashboards, reports, and trend analysis to monitor key supply chain KPIs, enabling data-driven decision-making.
• 3.Demand Forecasting: Create and update forecast models based on historical data, market trends, and maintenance schedules to ensure accurate demand planning and material availability.
• 4.Reorder Management: Calculate and update reorder points in ERP systems for critical assets, balancing material availability with cost efficiency to meet target service levels.
• 5.Performance Analytics: Manage supply chain data analysis for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on operational and financial metrics, providing actionable insights for the SCM leadership team.
• 6.KPI Tracking: Measure performance against set targets and budgets, identify trends, and highlight any operational issues for corrective action.
• 7.Problem Solving: Analyze complex supply chain challenges using data mining, advanced analytics, and business acumen to develop effective solutions.
• 8.Strategic Insights: Translate analysis findings into actionable recommendations for revenue enhancement, cost reduction, and improved supply chain decisions.
• 9.Project Management: Lead supply chain optimization projects focused on inventory management, demand forecasting, cost savings, and process improvements, including documentation of standard operating procedures.
• 10.Continuous Improvement: Conduct recurring analyses to identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive ongoing process enhancements.

Experience and Qualifications:

• 1.Bachelor’s or equivalent technical degree with minimum 5 years inventory management experience.
