Job summary

Etihad Engineering in Abu Dhabi seeks a Strategic Material Planner to support Engineering Supply Chain with optimal inventory provisioning and cost minimization. You will monitor spares, forecast demand, and manage reorder points to ensure high service levels.

The role emphasizes data analytics using Excel, Power BI, SQL, and Python to drive dashboards and reports, with a focus on continuous improvement and cost saving while aligning with maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with inventory management experience.
• Minimum 5 years of inventory management experience.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, SQL and Python.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Preference for aircraft maintenance or aerospace supply chain experience.
• Familiarity with MPD/AMM/CMM/IPC manuals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Monitoring: track levels, analyze stock movements, and monitor stock turn.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: develop dashboards and trend analysis to monitor KPIs.
• Demand Forecasting: create/update forecast models based on historical data and maintenance schedules.
• Reorder Management: update reorder points in ERP for critical assets.
• Performance Analytics: manage daily, weekly, monthly reporting on metrics.
• KPI Tracking: measure performance against targets and budgets.
• Problem Solving: analyze supply chain challenges and develop solutions.
• Strategic Insights: translate findings into recommendations for cost reduction.
• Project Management: lead optimization projects and document SOPs.
• Continuous Improvement: identify cost-saving opportunities and drive improvements.
