3. Production Planning
  • Coordinate with Production to align production capacity with demand.
  • Monitor production capacity, bottlenecks, and constraints.
  • Re-plan when there are changes in demand, material availability, production capacity, or supplier performance.
  • Provide Procurement with material requirements and planned order quantities.
  • Coordinate supplier lead times, capacity, MOQ, delivery schedules, and critical material requirements.
  • Monitor supplier commitments and elevate potential delivery risks.
  • Support procurement with supplier performance data for reviews, sourcing and contract decisions.

  • Keep inventory within agreed targets while protecting service levels.
  • Optimize inventory while maintaining required production coverage.
  • Analyze inventory against demand, lead time, MOQ, and safety-stock requirements.
  • Support inventory reduction and working-capital improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor KPIs such as:
  • Forecast Accuracy
  • Material Availability
  • Production Plan Adherence
  • Stockout Rate

  • Conduct regular Demand & Supply Planning meetings.
  • Escalate critical supply risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure alignment between the production plan, procurement plan, and inventory strategy.
