Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for UAE road construction and contracting sector. You will oversee the finance and accounting function with a strong emphasis on project-based financial management, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, cost allocation, and year-end closing.

Key duties include managing operations, leading budgeting and forecasts, monitoring variances, preparing financial statements, coordinating with auditors, and supporting government-contract finances.

Qualifications

• 8+ years UAE experience in the road construction/contracting industry.
• Strong finance and accounting experience within contracting.
• Proven experience with government/semi-government contracts.
• Proven project cash flow management experience.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Experience with project cost allocation and WIP accounting.
• Experience preparing Balance Sheets and P&L statements.
• Strong month-end and year-end closing experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete finance and accounting operations of the company.
• Prepare, monitor, and manage project and contracting cash flow.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare financial forecasts.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and analyze variances.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet and P&L).
• Manage month-end and year-end closings.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audits.
• Lead, supervise, and manage the accounting and finance team.
• Monitor project budgets, costs and cost allocation across projects.
• Manage work in progress accounting and allocation of project costs.
• Monitor project profitability and variances.
• Manage receivables, payables, and working capital.
• Coordinate with Project, Commercial, QS, Procurement and Management teams.
• Prepare financial reports and analyses for CFO and senior management.
• Maintain strong financial controls and compliance.
