Six Construct is seeking an experienced Design Manager/Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary design activities and coordinate with external consultants for complex buildings and marine infrastructure projects.

The role requires a Master’s in Civil Engineering, 10+ years of design/construction experience, and strong leadership with tender and value engineering expertise. Expect collaboration with clients, authorities, and a multi-cultural team on site-based projects.

Formación

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineering certification is an advantage.
• Additional qualifications in Project Management or Design Management are beneficial.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering design and construction (design office and site).
• Minimum 5 years in a Design Manager/Engineering Manager or similar leadership role.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design projects (buildings/infrastructure).
• Marine project experience (ports, jetties, quay walls, marinas, waterfronts) required.
• Experience with tenders, design verification, consultant management and value engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Head of Engineering in tender and project design reviews.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design activities across the project lifecycle.
• Manage external design consultants and subcontractors to meet budgets and schedules.
• Review design submissions, calculations, drawings, specs and reports for accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and local authority regulations.
• Identify design risks and propose mitigation and value engineering solutions.
• Provide technical support to Tender Department during bid preparation.
• Review FEED documentation and provide feedback on design strategies.
• Coordinate design reviews, technical workshops and stakeholder meetings.
• Resolve technical issues and ensure alignment with design intent.
• Conduct site visits and provide engineering support for approved designs.
