Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) in Abu Dhabi is seeking a specialist to ensure robust controls over the accounting operations, identify and resolve workflow issues, and monitor risk exposures in collaboration with IS/SSO teams and custody services.

You will analyze applications, test changes, support reconciliations, and help prepare MIS/KPIs, with a focus on data accuracy in the core banking system and compliance with bank procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance as preferred.
• Knowledge of general Banking principles.
• Good communication skills (written and spoken) at all levels.
• Analytical, self-motivated, energetic, flexible, dynamic, problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Ensure robust controls over the operational accounting activities.
• Identify and resolve workflow and production issues.
• Discuss risk exposures and propose solutions with SSO management.
• Develop and establish measures and testing standards for new applications or enhancements.
• Analyse documentation and technical specs of new applications to determine functionality.
• Ensure testing activities meet business requirements and system goals.
• Report and escalate issues to FCIS management.
• Act as independent controller during IPO to ensure control aspects are covered.
