Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) invites an Auditor to join the Group Internal Audit team. The role covers audits of Operations & Support Functions across the FAB Group, with focus on governance, risk management and controls in the UAE and international networks.

You will assist in planning, executing, and reporting audits, promote best practices, and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders while ensuring adherence to internal audit standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or equivalent from an accredited university.
• 2 to 4 years’ relevant experience with an International Bank or Big 4. Internal Audit experience strongly preferred (but not mandatory).
• Working knowledge of Operations & Support Functions activities and processes and associated risks.
• Working knowledge of bank and audit policies and procedures, as well as Central Bank regulations, if relevant
• Self-directed, able to manage multiple tasks and ability to work under pressure.
• Good analytical skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in audits of FAB Group’s Operations & Support Functions and related activities in the UAE and across the international network.
• Ensure audits are conducted in accordance with the Annual Plan and complete work programs on schedule.
• Promote knowledge sharing to facilitate team objectives and efficient task completion.
• Promote the organisation’s values and ethics within the team.
• Assist in monitoring financial performance against budgets and report variances.
• Execute to defined GIA policies, guidance notes and procedures.
• Review activities to define and maintain the Audit Universe and coordinate with other teams.
• Assist in Risk Assessments for Process Streams within Operations & Support Functions and subsidiaries.
• Assist in establishing Audit programs in the central audit management tool.
• Conduct audits of Processes to ensure governance, risk management and controls are adequate.
• Ensure data integrity and safeguarding of assets within Processes.
• Draft audit worksheets and issues.
• Assist in finalizing issues and Management Action Plans with Unit management.
• Identify change through continuous improvement of processes.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders with high standards of ethics.
• Provide consultancy to Unit management for improvements in governance, risk management and controls.
• Follow up on audit issues with Unit management and ensure corrective actions.
• Assist in investigations/special reviews as required.
• Ensure functional reports meet Group requirements and standards.
• Stay updated on regulatory reporting developments affecting Operations & Support Functions.
• Safeguard against potential loss and ensure efficient governance and controls.
• Review end-to-end operations for corrective actions.
