Job summary

NMC GROUP SERVICES. is seeking a storeroom supervisor to oversee ordering, receipt, and inventory of medical supplies for hospital use in Dubai. The role involves maintaining stock accuracy, coordinating with departments, and ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Commerce with storeroom leadership experience and strong English; Arabic knowledge is advantageous. Proficiency in inventory software (Tally) and ISO 9000 awareness are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a B.Com. and storeroom supervision experience.
• Strong leadership and vendor coordination abilities.
• Good English communication; Arabic advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ordering and receipt of material stock and supplies.
• Verify stock meets specifications and complete orders; resolve issues with vendors.
• Maintain storeroom layout, conduct weekly and semi-annual inventories, and supervise staff.
• Prepare MRN or Purchase orders; process local POs; coordinate with departments for stock needs.
• Inspect deliveries, coordinate with doctors/technicians for usage, and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Job description

Orders receives or oversees the ordering and receipt of material stock and supplies for the hospital uses the department s computer system to maintain verification of all transactions nbsp Researches cost quality and availability of goods selects appropriate goods and vendors and makes purchases that comply with the department s budgetary guidelines nbsp Assists hospital staff in evaluating new products and suggesting product substitutions when necessary nbsp Inspects items received for accurate weight count and condition verifies that stock meets specifications and that orders are complete and resolves order problems with vendors and departments Stores articles by style size material etc according to department procedures rotates supplies to ensure that items do not expire before use nbsp Delivers goods to appropriate hospital on a routine or STAT basis may oversee the delivery or distribution of goods by filling requisitions and comparing nomenclature stock numbers etc maintains a record of stock received and issued to departments nbsp Maintains a clean sanitary and orderly storeroom may make decisions regarding the physical layout of the storeroom nbsp Performs inventory of stock room supplies on a weekly and semi-annual basis supervise inventory maintenance and determine redistribution actions for stored goods when necessary nbsp Compile orders for purchasing and verify the receipt of orders with Accounts Payable Evaluate supply needs turnover rates cost perishability hazardous nature of goods and storage limitations may consult with departments in planning the range and quality of materials to be stocked nbsp Monitors the storeroom budget by maintaining records of expenditures and reconciling accounts may document storeroom operations for billing and inventory control Supervises the activities of other Storekeepers by training directing or assigning work providing goals and objectives evaluating performance and assisting in the interviewing process may give work direction in the Manager Supervisor s absence nbsp Prepare Material Requisition Note MRN or Purchase order to NMC Trading Est local purchase order for non-medical itemsReceipt and inspection of incoming deliveries of materials to Cathlab from the Suppliers on consignment basis and co-ordinate with the concerned Doctors Technicians for issues and maintain physical verification of inventory on monthly basis Physical verification of document inventory control using Tally based inventory package Follow-up daily consumption in all the sub-stores to maintain minimum stock levelSupervise half yearly stock taking in all the Dept and inform the Management for near expiry products Reconciliation of stock transfer reports from the Main warehouse Month end stock taking in main store to scrutinize discrepancy report

At least a graduate Bachelor of Commerce (B . Com.) with previous storeroom supervision and/or employee leadership experienced may be preferred.Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.Good English spoken & written, Arabic language advantageous/desirable but not essential.Appropriate related trainings / seminars in Store Management is advantageous. (i. e ., ISO 9000 awareness certificate, Diploma in Imports and Exports Management, etc)Computer literate.
