Job summary

SO/ Ras Al Khaimah is seeking an Inventory Clerk to manage stock levels, receive and store goods, issue materials, and ensure accurate, timely inventory reporting within a hospitality setting.

The role requires 2+ years in storekeeping or related fields, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in inventory software and MS Office. On-site work with safety-compliant storage practices is essential.

Qualifications

• Educational background required: high school diploma or equivalent; degree/certification in supply chain management is an asset.
• Experience: minimum of 2 years in storekeeping or inventory role, preferably in hospitality or service industry.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.
• Excellent organizational skills for tidy storage and efficient management.
• Good communication to coordinate with departments and issue clear instructions.
• Problem-solving ability to identify discrepancies and troubleshoot stock issues.
• Physical stamina to lift/move goods following safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory items. Ensure that stock levels are monitored, and inventory is reordered on time.
• Receiving and Storing Goods: Receive deliveries of goods and materials, check them for quality and quantity, and store them in proper conditions.
• Stock Issuance: Issue materials to relevant departments as requested, ensuring the accurate and timely supply of goods.
• Stock Rotation: Implement FIFO stock rotation to prevent spoilage, damage, or obsolescence of products.
• Inventory Audits: Conduct regular physical counts of inventory and reconcile discrepancies between physical and recorded stock.
• Report Generation: Prepare regular inventory reports for management, highlighting any discrepancies, shortages, or stockouts.
• Maintenance of Storage Area: Ensure the storage area is organized, clean, and well-maintained, following safety and hygiene standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and transfers.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in storage/handling of goods.
• Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure materials are available at the right time and resolve stock-related issues.
