Job summary

Al Zorah Beach Resort is seeking a dedicated Steward for full‑time duty at our Ajman property in the United Arab Emirates. You will support culinary operations by ensuring clean equipment, proper storage and safe sanitation across the kitchen and back‑of‑house areas.

Qualifications

• Previous stewarding or kitchen cleaning experience in a hotel, resort or restaurant preferred.
• Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene, sanitation and food safety practices.
• Familiarity with dishwashing equipment and cleaning chemicals is an advantage.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain cleanliness standards consistently.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Physically capable of standing, lifting and working in a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Clean, wash and sanitise chinaware, glassware, cutlery and utensils according to standards.
• Operate dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation across kitchens, dishwashing areas and back‑of‑house facilities.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and transport of kitchen equipment to prevent damage.
• Follow HACCP and hygiene procedures, use cleaning chemicals safely.
• Assist with collection, segregation and disposal of kitchen waste.
• Support Culinary and F&B teams by ensuring timely availability of clean equipment during service and events.
• Report damaged equipment and unsafe conditions to Stewarding Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, drains and work surfaces.
• Assist with deep‑cleaning and scheduled cleaning assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, wash and sanitise chinaware, glassware, cutlery, kitchen utensils and equipment according to established standards.
• Operate dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation across kitchens, dishwashing areas, storage rooms and designated back-of-house facilities.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and transportation of kitchen equipment to prevent damage and breakage.
• Follow established food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures, including HACCP requirements.
• Use cleaning chemicals and sanitising products safely in accordance with approved instructions.
• Assist with the collection, segregation and disposal of kitchen waste in designated areas.
• Support the Culinary and F&B teams by ensuring the timely availability of clean equipment during service and events.
• Report damaged equipment, maintenance concerns and unsafe conditions to the Stewarding Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, drains, work surfaces and designated kitchen areas.
• Assist with deep-cleaning activities and scheduled cleaning assignments.
• Follow all health, safety and workplace procedures while maintaining a cooperative and professional attitude.

Qualifications & Experience
