Job summary

STAR SERVICES LLC is seeking an SMP Material Handling Operator to ensure the safe and efficient handling of materials in Abu Dhabi. Responsibilities include receiving and verifying materials, monitoring supply and scrap handling, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and environmental compliance.

The ideal candidate should possess a High School Diploma, have at least 3 years of relevant experience, and demonstrate strong teamwork and coordination skills. A Technical Diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in material handling or yard operations.
• Experience in scrap handling or steelmaking support operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient handling of raw materials and waste.
• Receive and verify materials against shipping documents.
• Coordinate unloading and stacking with contractors.
• Monitor scrap handling operations and report deviations.
• Maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Provide clear shift handover updates to operators.

Skills

Knowledge of raw materials, scrap, and refractories used in steel plants

Basic computer and communication skills (English preferred)

Teamwork and coordination skills

Understanding of safety, environmental, and quality procedures

Ability to identify hazardous and non-hazardous waste

Awareness of HSE practices in industrial environments
