Job summary

Emirates Steel in Abu Dhabi is seeking a CEO for the Steel Business Unit to lead strategic and operational initiatives. You will drive innovation, ensure safety and quality, and align the unit with the organisation’s broader goals.

Responsibilities include directing operations, commercial strategy, and supply chain, while ensuring strong stakeholder management and sustainability performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 20 years of professional experience.
• At least 5 years in a comparable senior leadership position.
• Experience in the steel, metals, heavy manufacturing sector preferred.
• Arabic and English languages are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning for the Steel Business Unit aligned with corporate goals.
• Direct operations, commercial, supply chain and HSE teams to meet targets.
• Oversee production, optimize resources, and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop commercial strategies to grow revenue and market share.
• Oversee end‑to‑end supply chain, procurement, production and distribution.
• Stakeholder engagement with customers, regulators and internal teams.
• Ensure product quality and customer satisfaction through quality programs.
• Ensure safety, quality, environment compliance and governance.
