Job summary

ENOC in Dubai seeks a qualified Static Equipment Engineer to oversee maintenance of refinery static equipment within the assigned area, using CMMS systems to plan preventive and corrective work. You will supervise contractor technicians and perform troubleshooting on vessels, columns, fired heaters and heat exchangers.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree and 3–5 years in a refinery/petrochemical setting, with strong English proficiency and CMMS familiarity (SAP/Maximo).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out static maintenance activities and preventive maintenance programs.
• Supervise static maintenance contractors’ technicians.
• Troubleshoot refinery static equipment: vessels, columns, fired heaters, heat exchangers.
• Update PM schedule and work orders in SAP/CMMS; track costs.
• Support budget planning and reports to senior engineers.

Job Purpose

Responsible for the functional management of the static equipment maintenance activities within assigned area.
Carry out static maintenance activities for assigned area by implementing quality work plans for corrective, routine, and preventive maintenance works using extensive maintenance experience and Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Principal Accountabilities

• Act as per EPCL Incident Command System (ICS) or as directed by Emergency Command Centre Commander (ECCC)/Incident Commander.


• Ensure that health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures are implemented and complied by staff and contractors.


• Carry out static activities within assigned area as per management directives.


• Supervise static maintenance contractors’ technicians within assigned area.


• Conduct troubleshooting of refinery static equipment/systems which amongst others include:

• Conduct normal static maintenance work and Preventive maintenance programmes.


• Support senior static engineer/lead mechanical maintenance engineer for equipment failures investigation and root cause analysis.


• Propose new budget items, utilize approved yearly budget, and provide progress report to senior static engineer/lead engineer mechanical maintenance.


• Execute planned work during refinery T & I shutdowns.


• Complete and update static work as per PM schedule and work requests issued by different departments using SAP or other CMMS system. Update costs and repair history for all Work Orders.


• Manage allocated resources effectively and efficiently.

Additional Principal Accountabilities

• Support senior static engineer/lead mechanical maintenance engineer in monitoring work done by service contractors.


• Support senior static engineer/lead mechanical maintenance engineer in preparation of technical requirements for quotations, technical review of quotations, and inspection of delivered spare parts for compliance with purchase order requirements.


• Conduct staff training to ensure adequate staff knowledge and competency to perform activities safely, efficiently, and effectively.


• Conduct on job training for UAE nationals.


• Respond to emergency call outs as and when required by the operations department.


• Expedite orders for materials and services.

Cyber Information Security Responsibilities

Comply with all applicable information security policies, standards, and procedures.
Classify and protect information assets in accordance with the Data Classification Standard.
Participate in mandatory information security awareness and training programs.
Support information security initiatives and activities within the organization.
Consider information security requirements when managing changes involving information assets.
Report security incidents, vulnerabilities, weaknesses, or non-compliance in accordance with established procedures.
Fulfil role-specific information security responsibilities and contribute to maintaining the effectiveness of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).

Experience

• Graduate in mechanical engineering from a recognized college or university.


• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a refinery/petrochemical environment covering maintenance, repair, troubleshooting of electrical equipment.


• Computer literate, Experience with computerized maintenance management system. (E.g.: SAP / Oracle / Maximo)


• Knowledge of industry standards and codes.


• Must be thoroughly familiar with refining environment safe working procedures.


• Must be proficient and fluent in both written and spoken English.
