Job summary

GiftsBazaar.in is seeking a Venture Studio Investment Lead to identify and evaluate early-stage tech startups across MENA and South Asia, partnering with founders to build scalable businesses.

You will lead end-to-end deal flow from sourcing to term sheet negotiations, co-build GTM and unit-economics models, track portfolio KPIs, and represent the firm at events with global investors.

Qualifications

• Experience in startup investing, due diligence, term sheet negotiation, and portfolio tracking.
• Strong ability to model unit economics and assess cap tables in early-stage deals.
• Proven track record of sourcing, evaluating, and closing venture investments.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate 50+ early-stage tech startups per quarter across MENA and South Asia.
• Lead end-to-end deal flow: sourcing, pitch screening, due diligence, term sheet negotiation, board onboarding.
• Co-build GTM, product, and unit-economics models with founders post-investment.
• Track portfolio performance using KPIs (burn rate, CAC, LTV, churn) and trigger intervention plans.
• Represent SAGON in startup ecosystems — attend pitch events, demo days, and founder circles.

Our investors operate as strategic operators — blending capital with hands-on execution to de-risk and accelerate growth.

Role & Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate 50+ early-stage tech startups per quarter across MENA and South Asia for investment potential using frameworks for market size, unit economics, and founder grit.
• Lead end-to-end deal flow: from sourcing and pitch screening to due diligence, term sheet negotiation, and board onboarding.
• Co-build GTM, product, and unit-economics models with founders — acting as a fractional growth strategist post-investment.
• Track portfolio performance using KPIs (burn rate, CAC, LTV, churn) and trigger intervention plans when metrics deviate.
• Represent SAGON in startup ecosystems — attend pitch events, demo days, and founder circles to source dealflow and build referral pipelines.
• Collaborate with portfolio companies to refine cap table structures, founder equity splits, and seed/series-A scaling playbooks.
