Job summary

Rixos Al Mairid in Ras Al Khaimah is seeking a skilled and reliable Technician, Employee Accommodation to ensure staff housing systems operate safely and efficiently. The Technician will perform routine maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry, conduct inspections, handle emergencies, and keep logs.

You will manage inventory, collaborate with the Supervisor, and support facility improvements to maintain a comfortable living environment for employees.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC is a plus.
• Experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in residential or hospitality settings.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC repairs and safety practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems and general fixtures in staff accommodation.
• Inspect rooms, common areas and equipment to identify issues and resolve them promptly.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize disruption.
• Maintain logs of maintenance tasks, repairs and servicing.
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts and materials.
• Ensure work complies with health and safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with Supervisor and other departments on maintenance activities.
• Notify Supervisor of major issues requiring external service.
• Keep maintenance areas clean and safe; handle and store tools properly.
• Provide technical support during staff moves and accommodation projects.
