Job summary

Rixos Al Mairid in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates is seeking a detail-oriented Kitchen and Laundry Technician to maintain cleanliness and functionality of kitchen and laundry facilities, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to hygiene standards.

You will operate and maintain kitchen and laundry equipment, perform daily cleaning and sanitizing tasks, monitor inventory, and assist in training new team members while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Food safety certification preferred
• Previous experience in kitchen or laundry operations, particularly in a hospitality or healthcare setting, is a plus
• Familiarity with UAE health and safety regulations is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Operate, clean, and maintain kitchen and laundry equipment, including dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, and cooking appliances
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing tasks in kitchen and laundry areas, following established procedures and schedules
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages to the appropriate supervisor
• Assist in the proper storage and organization of kitchen utensils, linens, and other supplies
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs
• Collaborate with kitchen and housekeeping staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks
• Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and guidelines
• Assist in training new team members on equipment operation and cleaning procedures
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, equipment maintenance, and inventory
• Proficiency in operating various kitchen and laundry equipment
• Strong knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing procedures
• Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills for kitchen and laundry equipment
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Education
