Job summary

Rixos Al Mairid seeks a skilled Technician for staff accommodation to maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for employees within a luxury hospitality setting.

The role requires routine maintenance, inspections, and timely response to emergencies, with collaboration across departments to support facility improvements and staff moves. A strong safety mindset and practical technical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent technical certification in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC is a plus.
• Experience as a maintenance technician in residential or hospitality settings.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and general fixtures within the staff accommodation areas.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms, common areas, and equipment to identify and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies ensuring minimal disruption to employee comfort and safety.
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance tasks, repair work, and equipment servicing for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Monitor and manage the inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials; report shortages and assist in requisitions.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety standards and building regulations.
• Work closely with the Supervisor Employee Accommodation and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities.
• Notify the Supervisor of any major maintenance issues or safety concerns that require further attention or external service providers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in all maintenance areas; properly handle and store tools and materials.
• Provide technical assistance during staff moves, accommodation upgrades and special projects involving facility improvements.
