Job summary

Rixos Al Mairid seeks a skilled Technician, Employee Accommodation to ensure that all staff housing facilities run safely and efficiently. You will perform routine maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry, and you will collaborate with the Supervisor to address issues promptly.

This role requires hands-on problem solving, attention to safety, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining logs and coordinating with other departments during staff moves or upgrades.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC is a plus.
• Previous experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in residential or hospitality settings.
• Working knowledge of basic repairs, tools, and safety practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize work assignments.
• Good communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) or maintenance logging systems is an advantage.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and perform manual tasks as required.
• High level of reliability, integrity, and responsibility in work performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and general fixtures within the staff accommodation areas.
• Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of rooms, common areas, and equipment to identify and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to employee comfort and safety.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance tasks, repair work, and equipment servicing for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage the inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials. Report shortages and assist in requisitions.
• Compliance: Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety standards and building regulations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Supervisor, Employee Accommodation and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and support facility improvements.
• Reporting: Notify the Supervisor of any major maintenance issues or safety concerns that require further attention or external service providers.
• Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment in all maintenance areas. Properly handle and store tools and materials.
• Team Support: Provide technical assistance during staff moves, accommodation upgrades, and special projects involving facility improvements.

The Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work across various disciplines including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry. Key Responsibilities:
