Job summary

Rixos Al Mairid in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Technician, Employee Accommodation to ensure all staff housing systems operate safely. You will perform routine maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry, and support moves or upgrades.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, safety, and collaboration with the Supervisor and other departments to keep living spaces comfortable and compliant with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Tasks: perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and general fixtures within staff accommodation areas.
• Inspections: conduct regular inspections of rooms, common areas, and equipment to identify issues and resolve maintenance needs.
• Emergency Repairs: respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, minimizing disruption to employee comfort and safety.
• Record Keeping: maintain logs of maintenance tasks, repairs, and servicing for reporting.
• Inventory Management: monitor tools, spare parts, and materials; report shortages and assist in requisitions.
• Compliance: ensure work complies with health and safety standards and building regulations.
• Collaboration: coordinate maintenance activities with the Supervisor and other departments.
• Reporting: notify Supervisor of major issues or safety concerns needing external service providers.
• Cleanliness & Safety: maintain a clean and safe work environment in all maintenance areas.
• Team Support: assist during staff moves and accommodation upgrades.
