Job summary

SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences is seeking a Housing Coordinator to allocate suitable accommodation for employees, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and manage related utilities and records. You will work closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and Building Management to deliver a smooth Welcome/Arrival experience and responsive housing support.

Qualifications

• Understanding local housing laws, regulations and standards is essential for ensuring compliant employee accommodation.
• Proficiency in managing accommodation facilities, including maintenance and cleanliness, to provide a comfortable living environment.
• Skill in allocating and assigning appropriate accommodation to employees.
• Ability to maintain an inventory of available units, monitor occupancy, and plan expansions or renovations.
• Effective communication with hotel management, employees and external stakeholders regarding accommodation matters.
• Ability to handle conflicts or disputes related to accommodation calmly and efficiently.
• Knowledge of budgeting principles for accommodation-related expenses.
• Ability to address issues promptly in facilities management, safety, or employee complaints.
• Commitment to delivering excellent service by addressing accommodation needs promptly and courteously.
• Meticulous in maintaining well-maintained, furnished units with essential amenities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and keep accurate records of assignments and maintenance.
• Awareness of cultural differences to accommodate diverse employee needs.
• Collaboration with facilities management and finance for seamless coordination.
• Maintaining confidentiality regarding employee information and accommodation arrangements.
• Familiarity with software or systems for managing bookings, maintenance requests and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assigning suitable accommodation to employees based on needs and availability.
• Ensuring housing areas are safe, compliant with local regulations, and well-maintained.
• Providing support for housing-related concerns or problems.
• Serving as the primary contact for housing inquiries and resources.
• Managing utilities invoices and related costs.
• Enforcing Housing Rules, Overnight Stay and Pets policies.
• Building positive relationships with key stakeholders across departments.
• Overseeing employee transportation between accommodation and hotel if applicable.
• Advising on nearest clinics for emergency medical situations in the accommodation.
• Ensuring fire exits, alarm systems, and safety equipment are maintained and accessible.
• Coordinating with housekeeping to create Welcome/Arrival experiences for staff.
• Maintaining accurate records on housing allocations and maintenance activities.
