Job summary

Penspen Ltd. is urgently hiring for a Sr. Engineer Onshore Construction (Mechanical) for an Offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role oversees onshore fabrication, module assembly, and pre-commissioning activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with 15–18+ years of experience, including offshore exposure. PMC/EPC background and ADNOC Offshore experience are preferred assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 15–18+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in offshore projects.
• Proven offshore platform/topside/subsea project experience.
• Experience supporting fabrication yards and module construction activities.
• PMC/EPC background preferred; ADNOC Offshore experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supports onshore fabrication/civil construction works, module assembly, pre-commissioning, and offshore oil & gas construction activities.
• Reviews and supports construction execution plans, work packs, method statements, and procedures.
• Coordinates mechanical construction activities during fabrication, assembly, testing and pre-commissioning phases.
• Ensures activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitors progress and identifies schedule risks with mitigation measures.
• Reviews mechanical design deliverables for constructability and installation feasibility.
• Provides technical support for static equipment installation, rotating equipment installation and alignment, piping fabrication and erection, structural interfaces, pressure testing and mechanical completion activities.
• Promotes and enforces HSE policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with project Quality Management Systems.
• Supports Mechanical Completion (MC) and system handover activities.
• Interfaces with engineering, procurement, fabrication yards, commissioning teams, and client representatives.
• Participates in progress meetings and construction reviews.
• Prepares technical reports and progress updates

Responsibilities

• Supports for onshore fabrication/ civil constructions works, module assembly, pre-commissioning, and construction activities related to offshore oil & gas facilities. The role ensures that all mechanical works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, quality requirements, and project schedules.
• Review and support construction execution plans, work packs, method statements, and construction procedures.
• Coordinate mechanical construction activities during fabrication, assembly, testing, and pre-commissioning phases
• Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor construction progress and identify potential schedule risks and mitigation measures.

• Strong knowledge of offshore construction methods, mechanical systems, and safety standards.
• Preferred experience from PMC/EPC Background.
• Previous ADNOC Offshore Experience is advantage.
