Job summary

ADEAREST is seeking a Spray Painter to prepare surfaces for paint and mix coatings to exact shade, ensuring high-quality cleaning, blasting, and coating in line with project specifications and industry standards.

Duties include spraying machines and products with spray guns, masking areas, filling dents, mixing coating liquids, operating with air hoses, and cleaning equipment after application.

Qualifications

• Experience in spray painting and surface preparation.
• Ability to mix coatings and match shades per spec.
• Familiarity with masking and surface cleaning procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sprays surfaces of machines and products with protective or decorative coatings using a spray gun.
• Cleans grease and dirt from surfaces using solvents, water, and detergents.
• Applies masking tape to protect areas not to be coated.
• Fills cavities and dents with putty to create a smooth surface.
• Mixes coating liquids to achieve the required color and finish.
• Pours coating liquid, connects spray gun to air hose, and adjusts spray width/pressure.
• Sprays prime or finish coats; coats inaccessible areas with a brush.
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes after use.

Job description

We are looking for Spray Painterresponsible for preparing the surfaces which are to be spray-painted and for mixing the paint to the exact shade required;ensures high-quality surfacecleaning, blasting, and coating in compliance withproject specifications and industry standards

Responsibilities and duties:

• Sprays surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective or decorative material, such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer, using spray gun.
• Cleans grease and dirt from product, using materials, such as lacquer thinner, turpentine, soap, and water.
• Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
• Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color, according to specifications, using paddle or mechanical mixer.
• Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose, using wrenches.
• Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray according to knowledge of painting technique.
• Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
• Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer, using brush.
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
• May heat and spray wax onto products after they are tested.
• May use acid, wire brush, or steel wool to remove rust from metal.
