Job summary

AVENIR INTERNATIONAL ENGINEERS AND CONSULTANTS L.L.C seeks a senior SPF/EDMS specialist to lead schema configuration, workflow customization, and interface development with SmartPlant modules. You will ensure data integrity across SPF and EDMS, and drive governance and lifecycle processes for engineering deliverables.

The role requires 12+ years of hands-on SPF experience, knowledge of metadata models, and expert use of SmartPlant suite tools.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with SmartPlant Foundation and data model configuration.
• Experience with EDMS customization — metadata models, document lifecycle configuration, and access control.
• Familiarity with SmartPlant suite tools (P&ID, Instrumentation, Electrical, 3D) and their data relationships to SPF.

Responsibilities

• Perform SPF schema mapping and configuration to align with project engineering data requirements including object classes attributes relationships and business rules.
• Customize SPF workflows lifecycle states and business processes to support engineering deliverable review approval and handover cycles.
• Configure and maintain SPF forms views and reports to meet discipline-specific and project-specific requirements.
• Develop and maintain SPF interfaces e.g. with SmartPlant P&ID SmartPlant Instrumentation SmartPlant Electrical SmartPlant 3D ensuring data integrity across the engineering data ecosystem.
• Customize and configure the EDMS environment including metadata structures document types numbering conventions and access control.
• Support integration of EDMS with SPF and other plant engineering systems for seamless document and data handover.
• Configure automated workflows for document review transmittal and approval within the EDMS.
• Use SmartPlant Data Validator SDV to perform data quality checks validate schema compliance and identify resolve data inconsistencies prior to loading into SPF.
• Develop and maintain SDV validation rules and reports to support ongoing data governance.
• Coordinate remediation of data quality issues with discipline engineers and data owners.
• Bulk data loading migration and reconciliation activities between legacy systems EPC contractor data and SPF EDMS.
• Collaborate with IT and vendor teams Hexagon Intergraph on system upgrades patches and troubleshooting.
• Support Prepare technical documentation configuration guides and end-user training materials.

SPF Configuration

Data Validation SDV

Data Migration Integration Support

Governance

• Support Prepare technical documentation configuration guides and end-user training materials
• Provide day-to-day system administration support and troubleshoot user system issues

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation) or Information Systems. 12+ years of hands‑on experience with SmartPlant Foundation, including schema configuration/mapping and workflow customization. Experience with EDMS customization — metadata models, document lifecycle configuration, and access control. Familiarity with SmartPlant suite tools (P&ID, Instrumentation, Electrical, 3D) and their data relationships to SPF.
