Job summary

Wow Factor, based in the UAE, seeks a Specification & Sales Engineer to prepare detailed technical specifications for interior design and architectural projects. This on-site role collaborates with designers, architects, suppliers, and contractors to ensure design intent, performance, and budget alignment.

The role requires reading and interpreting drawings, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and providing technical guidance with project submittals.

Qualifications

• Strong technical understanding of interior design and architectural products.
• Experience preparing specifications, BOQs, and technical documentation for commercial, residential, or public projects.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Proficiency with design and documentation tools (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
• Knowledge of building codes, standards, and best practices related to interior fit-out and architectural solutions.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Role Description:

• The Specification & Sales Engineer at Wow Factor is a full-time, on-site role based in the UAE. This role is responsible for preparing detailed technical specifications for interior design and architectural projects, ensuring product selections align with design intent, performance requirements, and budget constraints. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project drawings, coordinating with designers, architects, suppliers, and contractors, and maintaining accurate documentation of specified products and systems. The Specification Engineer will evaluate product options, verify compliance with relevant standards, and support the sales and design teams with technical guidance and project submittals. The role also involves attending client and site meetings, providing clarification on specifications, and supporting value engineering while preserving design quality.

Qualifications:

• Strong technical understanding of interior design and architectural products, including materials, finishes, and building components.
• Experience preparing specifications, BOQs, and technical documentation for commercial, residential, or public projects.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Proficiency with design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar), and standard office productivity software.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and best practices related to interior fit-out and architectural solutions.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills to liaise with clients, designers, and suppliers.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field; prior experience in specification or technical sales is an advantage.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills relevant to the UAE market are a plus.
