Allocation Assist Middle East is recruiting for a leading healthcare facility seeking a specialist capable of delivering safe, evidence-based neurosurgical care across elective, emergency, and trauma cases. The position involves cranial and spinal surgery, diagnostic imaging interpretation, perioperative management, emergency call coverage, and multidisciplinary treatment planning. The specialist will work with neurologists, intensivists, orthopedic surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, rehabilitation physicians, anesthesiologists, and other clinical professionals to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients presenting with cranial, spinal, and peripheral nerve disorders.
• Diagnose brain tumors, hydrocephalus, intracranial hemorrhage, cerebrovascular disease, degenerative spine conditions, and peripheral nerve disorders.
• Assess traumatic brain injuries, spinal trauma, disc disease, and neurological complications requiring surgical intervention.
• Perform elective and emergency neurosurgical procedures within approved specialist privileges.
• Undertake cranial and spinal operations using evidence‑based surgical techniques.
• Develop individualized surgical and non‑surgical treatment plans based on clinical findings and diagnostic investigations.
• Conduct comprehensive pre‑operative assessments and determine surgical suitability and risk.
• Provide structured post‑operative management, complication surveillance, pain control, and follow‑up care.
• Interpret CT scans, MRI studies, angiography, neurophysiological investigations, and other relevant diagnostic results.
• Respond to emergency and trauma referrals and participate in on‑call rotations as required.
• Monitor patients for neurological deterioration and initiate urgent intervention when necessary.
• Coordinate complex cases with neurologists, intensivists, orthopedic surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and rehabilitation physicians.
• Communicate diagnoses, procedures, risks, expected outcomes, and recovery plans clearly to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate consultation notes, operative reports, consent records, investigation findings, and discharge plans.
• Comply with hospital policies, infection‑control requirements, patient‑safety standards, and applicable UAE healthcare regulations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, and departmental meetings.
• Contribute to quality improvement projects and neurosurgical service development.
• Support the education and clinical development of junior physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
• Participate in continuing medical education and remain current with advances in cranial and spinal neurosurgery.

Ideal Profile

• MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Completion of accredited specialist training in Neurosurgery.
• Minimum 3 years of post‑specialization experience as a Specialist Neurosurgeon.
• Previous experience within a reputable tertiary‑care or specialist hospital.
• Western education or clinical training from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or an equivalent system is preferred.
• Eligibility for a Dubai Health Authority Specialist License in Neurosurgery.
• Demonstrated expertise in cranial and spinal neurosurgery.
• Experience managing brain tumors, traumatic injuries, hydrocephalus, intracranial hemorrhage, and degenerative spine disease.
• Competence in emergency neurosurgery and trauma call coverage.
• Ability to interpret CT, MRI, angiography, and neurophysiological investigations.
• Strong perioperative decision‑making and surgical risk‑assessment skills.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, clinical documentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Capacity to make timely decisions during neurological emergencies.
