Job summary

TalentSpoc seeks an experienced Specialist Gastrointestinal Surgeon to diagnose and manage GI tract diseases through surgical and minimally invasive procedures in our Dubai-based healthcare facility.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GI surgery, laparoscopic techniques, and managing complex abdominal conditions, with a track record of collaborating with gastroenterologists and other specialists to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent internationally recognized primary medical qualification.
• Masters or postgraduate specialist qualification in General Surgery or Gastrointestinal Surgery.
• Fellowship or advanced GI training is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialization clinical experience preferred.
• Strong experience in open and laparoscopic GI procedures.
• Excellent surgical skills and patient-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and abdominal surgical conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency gastrointestinal surgical procedures.
• Manage conditions involving stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, liver, gallbladder, and other digestive organs.
• Perform laparoscopic and minimally invasive GI surgeries where qualified.
• Conduct preoperative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans.
• Provide comprehensive postoperative care and monitor recovery.
• Coordinate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists.
• Maintain accurate medical records and uphold patient safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in gastrointestinal surgery, laparoscopic techniques, and the management of complex abdominal and digestive system conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and abdominal surgical conditions
• Perform elective and emergency gastrointestinal surgical procedures
• Manage conditions involving the stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, liver, gallbladder, and other digestive organs
• Perform laparoscopic and minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgeries where qualified
• Conduct preoperative assessments and develop individualized surgical treatment plans
• Provide comprehensive postoperative care and monitor patient recovery
• Manage surgical complications and gastrointestinal emergencies
• Coordinate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists

Qualifications & Requirements

• Relevant Master's degree, postgraduate specialist qualification, fellowship, or equivalent internationally recognized qualification in General Surgery or Gastrointestinal Surgery
• Additional fellowship or advanced specialist training in Gastrointestinal Surgery is an advantage
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialization clinical experience preferred
• Strong experience in open and laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgical procedures
